Info: L'adieu des bergers (The shepherds' farewell) is probably the most famous movement, often performed separately, from L'enfance du Christ. L'enfance du Christ (English: The Childhood of Christ), Opus 25, is an oratorio by the French composer Hector Berlioz, based on the Holy Family's flight into Egypt. Berlioz wrote his own words for the piece.

The artist: French Romantic composer, made significant contributions to the modern orchestra with his Treatise on Instrumentation. His influence was critical for the further development of Romanticism.
